TIBA, Tsinghua International Blockchain Association is a student association founded by a group of Tsinghua students who are enthusiasts in the blockchain.
Since the day it was founded in September of 2018, we have always believed that the classroom and the library are not the only places for learning.
It is an english speaking association and we mainly host events with:
- companies and organizations like Polkadot, Findora, Web3,
- Professors from our school,
- PHD, Masters from our computer science labs
for everyone who is willing to learn, to help connect the advancements from both the industry and the research field to our talented students.
We also provide blockchain courses for our students who is new to blockchain, help them grasp the gist of what blockchain is and the potential of its future prosperity, no matter which major they are from.
With our dedication, we now have almost 1500+ members, and a wide influence with our own wechat official accounts among our students and the industry.
Our TIBA members have participated in **Conflux 2020 UMA hackathon**. There were the 33 teams participated the hackathon, the participants are from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University and University of Washington. At last, only 7 teams have won the awards and 2 of them are from our association, respectively claiming the first and the second place of the hackathon.
