What is the Thunderbird Athletes Council (TAC)?
The Thunderbird Athletes council (TAC) is composed of two student-athlete representatives from each varsity team and six executive members who provide direction for the council. Their mission is to develop a stronger sense of athletic pride at UBC, provide Varsity athletes with scholarship opportunities, and give back to the community, all while continuously enhancing the varsity experience for all UBC Thunderbird Athletes.
What does the TAC do?
The TAC is responsible for working closely with the Athletics Department by representing the interests of the student-athlete body to the Department. The Athletic Council promotes varsity games, plans social events, offers volunteer and charitable opportunities, and highlights athlete achievements in the Ubyssey through Athlete of the Week and Month articles.
