THW Debate Podcast

"this house would..." (aka THW) debate podcast features three series on a rotating basis on all things debate: Debate 101, This House Debates, and On That! In the last decade, debate has become increasingly popular for students in high school and university; while it has led many students to start to enjoy learning history and crafting arguments, the gap is widening when it comes to accessibility in debate. Noticing a lack of resources for those who want to start a debate club, learn how to debate, and listen to debates, we created a podcast for debaters of all stages of experience and for the general audience curious to learn. In the first series, "Debate 101", the basics of debate are taught, along with forming a debate club and the occasional featured guest who will share their experience or expertise. The second series, "This House Debates" invites four different debaters for every episode to participate in a modified debate on relevant, thought-provoking, and applicable topics. "On That!" is the third series, where a host sits down with two to three panellists to break down and analyze any topic that impacts the society at large in detail: ex. the stock market, jury duty.
