Thyroid Cancer Canada is a national organization dedicated to providing support and information to those affected by the disease. It provides patient-centred, plain language information through web and print materials, phone and email-based information and support, and peer support through an online patient forum. - Thyroid cancer is the fastest growing cancer worldwide, and is the most diagnosed cancer among young Canadians aged 15-29. - It is the second most common cancer among Canadians aged 30-49. - 80% of thyroid cancer patients are women. - Patients and survivors depend on us for emotional support during their cancer journey, and rely on us as their source of plain-language, patient-centred information to help them make decisions about their treatment and care.
