We founded Tickir with a simple goal; to continue to meet the increasing demand for news, and to deliver content that is accessible to all.
Much news at the moment is written by white middle-class people for consumption by people like them. To make matters worse, rather than sticking to the facts, they try and influence your thinking.
This makes articles longer than they need be and they are often harder to read than is necessary.
Almost all news publishers want to draw you away from the Social Media platforms you spend your time on to their sites. We know you’d rather be there, so this is where our news will always be published.
We plan to offer a subscription model which means we can send our news direct to your phone, so you will be in control of what you read rather than restricting your knowledge to what your Social Media feeds choose to show you.
Our business will grow and adapt as the world changes. We will achieve this by focussing on what matters; people not excessive profits. We still aim to make a profit, but where we do, we will share it with our people and support projects in the communities we serve.
