TIDE (Together in Development and Education) Foundation

TIDE is an educational reforms organization founded in November 2014 that aims to empower education systems to bring about quality and holistic education of the whole child. As of September 2024, we have impacted 40,000+ lives. We have multiple programs targeting different aspects of education. The various programs work with students from various backgrounds including marginalized, privileged, urban, rural, school, and college-going. All the programs act independently while following a similar guideline i.e. working on high impact, sustainable projects that tackle root causes of educational issues over a span of 15 years. We run the following programs: 1. Prerak- application and project-based learning: bridging academic learning gap through activity-based holistic development. We engage students in self-learning, peerlearning, project-work and activity-based learning through kits, flashcards, games, and worksheets. 2. BetterEd- Life skills education: providing basic life skills education to under-resourced schools, orphanages, and government schools. We empower children and young people with skills (for learning, employability, personal empowerment, and citizenship) to navigate everyday challenges. 3. CompletEd- Education for, through and as social justice: shaping socially responsible youth leaders through critical dialogue and action on local issues of issues of social justice, along with reflexive self-transformation. 4. EmpowerEd- Empowering educators: building teachers’ capacities, practices, and identities in ways that facilitate social justice for all students. We aim to develop bottom-up, collaborative interventions that empower teachers through self-discovery, peer-learning, and action research.
