Scouting America Tidewater Council

Tidewater Council, Boy Scouts of America provides youth development programming for families in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. For kids, Scouting is all about adventure. Scouts participate in fun activities – like making rockets, canoeing, archery, racing Pinewood Derby cars, and camping. For parents, Scouting prepares your child for life’s challenges. Scouts learn to try new things, to set and achieve goals, to plan, to overcome obstacles – or even to cook a healthy meal for their family! Scouting teaches youth to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
