A space for ECRs in Berlin-Brandenburg interested in interdisciplinary non-human animal studies.
We are a group of early career researchers (ECRs) in Berlin-Brandenburg connected with the Freie Universiät Berlin, the Tierethiknetzwerk (Humboldt Universität Berlin), and Exeter University (UK). Our attitudes and relationships towards non-human animals influence how we approach many disciplines across all fields of knowledge (whether we are aware of it or not), yet avenues for truly cross-sectional dialogue without limitations of field or affiliation are sorely lacking. Thus, we decided to create such spaces of dialogue for non-human animals where perspectives, reflections and discussions from all disciplines are welcome. We believe that this simple step is the first one in a wider effort towards a more reflective and solidary understanding of non-human animals in all domains of knowledge and activism.
To bridge this gap, we invite everyone from any discipline to an ongoing conversation about how we can do better by other-than-human animals in any sphere of knowledge production and praxis.
