TIM (Thunderstorm Intensification from Mountains to plains) will be Europe's largest field measurement campaign on SEVERE thunderstorms. In recent years, extreme convective events have caused massive damage in Europe due to flooding, gale-force winds and large hail. As part of the campaign, such extreme events are analysed and systems & strategies are developed to better protect the population and infrastructure.
