We are a group of international researchers interested in understanding how innovation happens, and how and to what extent businesses and society can benefit from it.
We study both individuals (how they learn, how they develop cognitive and technical skills, how they manage their emotions) and organizations (their internal dynamics as they search, adopt and develop new technologies, how they manage the interplay of stability and change, their evolving relationships within ecosystems).
In our work, we aim at being transparent, disciplined, relevant, and rigorous. Our research is interdisciplinary: it builds upon and integrates insights and methods from strategy, organization theory, economics, psychology, and cognitive neurosciences. We use both qualitative and quantitative methods. We do research in the lab and in the field.
Our teaching builds on our research. Our work with industry is evidence-based.
