Timber Sonics Ltd

Timber Sonics Ltd is a new and innovative company designed to integrate acoustic technology into timber harvester heads for measuring the true quality of timber in relation to wood stiffness at the earliest point in the value chain. We aim to retrofit to existing purpose built harvesters and lease/sell to machine manufacturers. Timber as a product is currently sold by volume with no real quality mark in terms of its potential use. It is not until the felled timber has gone through many processes does it meet with a standard for construction, furniture or other product. As this point valuable time and money has been spent only to be left with a proportion of the quality. Understanding the quality at the earliest possible time in the value chain process can allow for better decision processes to be made.
