As a neutral and independent institution, TIMELAB is dedicated to upholding and promoting the excellence of Swiss watchmaking. Through testing, measurement, control, and certification, TIMELAB contributes to the development and international recognition of both Swiss and Geneva timepieces.
Our activities
◆The Poinçon de Genève
Established in 1886 and operated by TIMELAB, this certification is the ultimate emblem of quality, origin, and craftsmanship for watches made in the Canton of Geneva.
◆The Geneva Chronometry Observatory
A continuation of a tradition dating back to 1772, this independent observatory certifies the precision of mechanical chronometers according to the ISO 3159 standard, as well as according to the OC+ label, a more stringent certification.
◆The Laboratory
Our watchmaking and microtechnology laboratory supports manufacturers throughout the development process, providing cutting-edge testing, custom analysis, and solutions to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with the most rigorous standards.
