Timesulin is a timer enabled replacement cap for insulin pens that aims to resolve the anxiety that people living with insulin-dependent diabetes (most of whom take insulin a minimum of four times per day) suffer from as a result of forgetting to take their insulin and the associated health risk of hypo or hyperglycemia resulting from missed or double injections.
The patented technology used in the product can be used with any insulin pen, requires no change in routine and is simple enough for anyone to use. The design goal of the product was for it to be easy enough for anyone to use - whether it’s a 5-year old who is just learning to inject, or an 85-year old who’s been doing it for years but may be weary of new technologies.
Timesulin needs to be replaced once a year to ensure safe usage; it is approved for commercialization (CE Certified as a Class 1 medical device) and patented.
