Timothy Bennett Retouching

I'm Tim and I'm a Senior Creative Retoucher and Master Printer with over 20 years' industry experience working for some of London's premier photographic print labs, going right back to the pre-digital era. I have worked across the entire gamut of the photographic industry: advertising, fashion/beauty, editorial, automotive, architectural/interior, commercial art, exhibition, and ecommerce/FMCG/packshot, producing work for international brands like Nike, Adidas, and Mizuno, Arup Group, and many of the top photographers in the world, including David Bailey, Juergen Teller, Sam Taylor-Johnson, Anton Corbijn, and Damien Hirst. My work for major photographers and artists has been published in major magazines and newspapers, including Wallpaper*, Shon!, The Sunday Times, and German Vogue, and has been exhibited in galleries worldwide including The National Portrait Gallery, Gagosian, White Cube, and The Saatchi Gallery. I was the Senior Retoucher for Pro:Direct Sport, a £100m+ ecommerce retailer, handling all their creative retouching for advertorial and agency imagery, alongside having technical oversight over their fast-paced/high-volume ecom retouching team. Whilst there I developed a semi-automated retouching pipeline that halved production time. I facilitated this through a custom Photoshop plugin that I developed, and since leaving Pro Direct I have continued developing Photoshop plugins for B2B clients.
