A home of your own is a basic human need. We’ve had millenia to solve this problem, yet the current system is based on the exploitation of those with the least means. Why? Is the status quo really the best system that we can come up with? Really? With a tremendous amount of support from the team behind the Tiny Home Foundation CIC, I’m on a mission to bring genuinely affordable homes to the UK in a big way! In 2019 I set out to start putting the necessary pieces of the puzzle together to do just that. I decided early on that this undertaking should be a not-for-profit enterprise from the outset. To have any chance of fundamentally changing the world for the better, we need to remove greed from the equation of affordable homes, then the scale of the impact possible is magnified significantly! A home of your own is a basic human need. It should be easy to buy a home of your own as an adult, as soon as you are earning a full time wage! How does that compare to the status quo? If we all collaborated to make things better, how much better could things get?
