We’re Tiny Miracles, an Amsterdam and Mumbai-based foundation and social enterprise, and we’re tired of talking to corporations and selling them on an idealized version of ‘social procurement’. “It's super easy and you help make a better future for extremely vulnerable communities in Mumbai”. Only the second part is true. The fact is, by placing social impact at the heart of all we do, we aren't in the business of convenience. After 10 years of trial and error, our manufacturing process (we currently export 4 million products a year) revolves around taking the most inefficient, but impactful route from point A to B. Sometimes, it looks like skill-training the most vulnerable groups we can find to create products for caring customers. Other times it looks like creating confident, liberated communities via storytelling workshops, trips to theme parks and mental health support. All whilst trying to inspire others to do as we do (or even do it better). The fact is, lots of things can create ‘impact’. But there's only one way to be certain of your intent to create impact and that is - How hard did you make it for yourself?
