Tirisano Foundation is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (121-220) and Public Benefit organisation (930044747) providing learner support in education and career development in South Africa. We run a multi-year Self Development Programme and Annual Career Day targeting Grade 9-12 high school learners in partner schools around South Africa's township based high schools. Our programme is implemented by volunteer young professionals who seek to positively impact their communities through volunteering of their time, skills, finances and networks. What we do: • Target high school learners in Grade 9 - 12 from partner schools • Recruit a comprehensive mix of learners (agnostic of academic performance) at the end of their Grade 8 year • Expose learners to the importance of self-development, having a long-term career focus and how to access tertiary education through various options. • Facilitate networking with professionals in various industries. • Initiate and encourage mentorship relationships amongst learners and as well as learners and professionals. • Influence the growth in the number of professionals and entrepreneurs in townships and rural areas of South Africa
