From restoring a water-gilded 18th century mirror frame back to its original golden lustre, to carving back a missing scroll on a chair that had long been lost to daily use.

Lacquer & Japanning
We are one of the leading exponents in European japanning incorporating English chinoiserie, vernis martin and lacca povera. We have restored and conserved japanned and lacquered period furniture ranging from Oriental Ceremonial cabinets to Russian snuff boxes. We also offer modern spray lacquered finishes to suit contemporary pieces and interiors.
Gilding
Titian Studio is renowned for the quality of its gilding. Whether the application is on ceilings, walls, floors, glass panels, solid wood or iron gates, in any colour and any carat inside and outside. Titian Studio is also known as a leader in the reverse gilding on glass technique known as verre eglomise. Our expert gilding team deliver a beautiful finish to suit all tastes and budgets.
Private Collection Care
Titian Studio offers a one stop maintenance programme and ongoing assessment of collections for corporations, private households and historical institutions. After a thorough examination of the collection, each piece is photographed and condition reports and method statements are produced which will explain any potential conservation work needs and continued maintenance that may be required to keep your valuables in the best possible condition.
