Takht-E Jamshid Petrochemical Complex includes Styrene Butadiene Rubber elastomer (SBR) production plant based on cold emulsion polymerization of GOODYEAR technology with the capacity of 30,000 tons per year, and Polybutadiene Rubber (PBR) production plant based on Ziegler-Natta solution polymerization of GOODRICH technology with the capacity of 18,000 tons per year, located in the area of 16 hectares in Petrochemical Special Economic Zone, Mahshahr Part, Site2. Construction of the plant began in December 2012 and is expected to be operational at the end of 2014. Takht-E-Jamshid petrochemical company feedstocks are Butadiene and Styrene monomers which are respectively supplied from Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company by pipe line and Pars Petrochemical Company by truck.
Required major utilities including steam, cooling water and chilled water will be supplied by plants inside the complex and other utility services such as electricity and RO water will be supplied by the Fajr Petrochemical Company. Takht-E-Jamshid petrochemical company has focused specifically on environmental issues regarding air pollutants reduction, optimizing and reducing energy consumption based on modern standard designs and wastewater treatment by installing a ET plant invested more than 500 billion Rials.
