'The Light' (UK) is a UK based charity which aims to preserve and protect health, promote cohesion, relieve poverty, sickness, distress and infirmity amongst people without distinction of sex, political opinions or of racial ethnic, national origin or sexual orientation.
'The Light' (UK) is committed to deliver activities for people of all ages male and female.
We have a range of specialised sports coaches who are all DBS checked and First aid trained and experts in preventative work.
The Light (UK) provide restbite and care services for young people and adults. All our carers are professionally qualified in different areas and carry a wealth of experience working with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We provide a professional home-based service designed to meet the needs of families with multiple, complex needs.
We work with families dealing with mental health problems, difficulties with parenting or with their own relationship, domestic abuse, children with behavioral difficulties, problems engaging in education, emotional or physical welfare issues, supporting older members of the family, and financial and material hardship.
Our work is based on the principle of empowerment, working with families, supporting them into universal services until they are able to manage without support.
