Taiwan Thousand Miles Trail Association

Taiwan Thousand Miles Trail Association (TMI Trail) is an NGO dedicated to trails. We started as a grass-root movement to connect a round-the-island-trail network, advocating it to become the National Greenways. In the meantime, we propose to steward the trails with “eco-craft trail” philosophy, maintaining them “as is” with on-site natural materials and volunteers. For the last 19 years, we have worked on more than 170 trails all around Taiwan, and trained more than 80 professional volunteers (trail masters) through our Trailology courses. We currently serve as the Secretariat of the Asia Trails Network, and has been an active member of the World Trails Network.
