Toronto Metropolitan Debate Union company information, Employees & Contact Information

The Toronto Metropolitan Debate Union aims to help students find the power to speak up and stand out through refined communications and thinking skills. We develop these skills through our bi-weekly meetings, where students can debate in British Parliamentary and Canadian Parliamentary style debate formats, complete with brief 10 minute training modules and feedback from judges. We host events and competitions both for TMU student audiences and for clubs across the intercollegiate debating space. Events for TMU students place a special emphasis on training and remain particularly beginner friendly. We also send teams out regularly to attend competitions at different universities, subsidized by club funding, allowing students to compete and travel on a budget. This tends to give students the fastest period of growth and provides a real test of the skills they've developed thus far. Our comprehensive approach provides a unique opportunity for academic and career development, enabling students to find their voices and carry them into the workforce.
