Therapeutic Music is a group of passionate young musicians. Started as part of PhD research into the connection between music and brain development, our mission is to enrich the lives of seniors living in nursing homes through music, especially patients with dementia.
We host monthly performances in nursing homes across the city, showcasing everything from classical to pop to folk. Therapeutic Music keeps things relaxed, allowing each member to contribute 5-10 minutes per session and perform as often as they like. It’s a great way for students to stay musically active amidst a busy schedule!
Plus, we offer a range of other fun music events, like jam sessions, open stages, and benefit concerts.
