Our History
TCWD was founded as the Tennessee Rural Partnership in 2006 to recruit primary care physicians to rural and underserved areas. In 2018 we expanded our focus to include nurses and allied health professionals and increased our pipeline initiatives as the Tennessee Center for Health Workforce Development.
