Established in 1951, Steve Tomkinson took over from his father 30 years ago. Originally plumbing and heating engineers, the business rapidly grew to provide full heating packages including repairs. With the introduction of multi-fuel stoves and boilers 30 years ago, the business turned into a one-stop shop for heating services for home and industrial purposes with a strong emphasis on wood burning heating systems. The company moved into its present property in 1986. Due to our strong engineering background we have always pushed to be at the leading edge of heating technology. Over the past 10 years, the push for greener heating systems has become a very important part of our business. This has lead us to be one of the North-west specialists in Biomass and solar heating systems. We are Gas Safe, Oftec and Hetas registered installers, so all modifications and improvements to the existing heating system can be done by ourselves. Steve and David Tomkinson, both HNC in building services engineering can provide full biomass system packages including surveys, design, installation and servicing. All with our own in-house engineers. With 25 current employees including two sons, we are continually expanding our expertise in the heating industry.
