We design architecture at the scale of its users. This means that we try to create spaces that people feel good in. We especially want to add experience. In addition, we graft our buildings onto their environment. Just like a biotope, a building has an 'architope'.
Each project is preceded by extensive research that focuses on the scale of the environment, the shape of the building, the organization, the materiality, down to the smallest architectural detail. A collaboration is established with the client in which we question his wishes and look for the characteristics of the place in order to arrive at a comprehensive, architecturally simple answer. In this way, each project acquires or retains its individuality and identity.
Wij ontwerpen architectuur op schaal van zijn gebruikers. Dat betekent dat we trachten ruimtes te maken waar mensen zich goed in voelen. We willen vooral beleving toevoegen. Daarnaast enten we onze gebouwen op hun omgeving. Net zoals een biotoop, heeft een gebouw een ‘architoop’.
Aan elk project gaat een doorgedreven onderzoek vooraf dat zich focust op zowel de schaal van de omgeving, de vorm van het gebouw, de organisatie, de materialiteit, tot in het kleinste architecturale detail. Er ontstaat een samenwerking met de bouwheer waarbij we zijn wensen in vraag stellen en op zoek gaan naar de karakteristieken van de plek om tot een allesomvattend architecturaal eenvoudig antwoord te komen. Zo krijgt of behoudt elk project een eigenheid en identiteit.
Door enerzijds een kantoor in een stedelijke context en anderzijds in een landschappelijke omgeving te hebben, dwingt dit ons ertoe om andere architecturale antwoorden te bieden of sociale lagen toe te voegen in de projecten. Maar bovenal versterkt dit het architecturaal vocabularium wat ertoe bijdraagt dat bepaalde architecturale oplossingen in een andere context een verrassende beleving kunnen bezorgen.
