TOTTA | Trans-Oceanic Trade Tech Alliance

TOTTA plans to approach this in an inclusive way with collective vision of independent individuals with a wealth of experience. The larger team being mobilized will represent every segment of global trade by function, geography, size, and technology-maturity. TOTTA will act independent of specific technology platforms with no preference for application or framework. It will stimulate and enhance uniformity industry-wide, by reaching out to shippers, logistic companies, importers, and exporters from MSMEs to large corporates and traders. TOTTA will act as an independent body acting primarily as a Think Tank and collaborating with industry players and has been set up as a not-for-profit organization. TOTTA will through consultative knowledge sharing across global summits, discussion papers, white papers, technical tools, and how-to guides enable participants in the supply chain and especially MSMEs tools to adapt their business digitally. The think tank and will be a platform and a collective for credible thought leaders across the globe, add critical value through objective contribution to the development and deployment of Trade Technology. TOTTA intends to develop an opensource library with data models & data sets of each accepted standard, software functions and APIs & NPIs to interconnect platforms & blockchain networks that may be incorporated both by end-users and technology companies. This constitution of the think tank will be curated with independent thinking and intellectually honest trade leaders from all functions of the physical and financial supply chain. Terms of reference including role definitions and rule book will be established, to lay the ground for longevity. TOTTA also recognizes that while the development of content and enabling debate in the Trade Technology space, is a necessary but not sufficient condition to ensure last mile adoption, options will be evaluated on which other enablers required for this last mile adoption.
