Toud Gward

Toud Gward (watchful owl in Breton) is collision risk situation awareness software, imagined and designed by sailors from the civilian and military worlds. The Toud Gward system makes it possible to reduce the human, technical and financial risks of accidents, linked to the cognitive overload weighing on the captain, generated by the multiple sensors and alarms on board a ship. Allowing the boat's environment to be represented in the form of a "sound map" with alerts directed either to a set of fixed loudspeakers or to a mobile device carried by the navigator, the system makes it possible to reduce the delay between the alert and the visual consideration of the danger and ultimately reduce the risk of collision. The Toud Gward system is the result of the meeting of a long maritime experience and the expertise present in Laval (Mayenne) around immersive technologies and artificial intelligence. In the heart of Brittany Sailing Valley, the system was developed in close collaboration with the best preparers of offshore racing boats. The system is intended to equip vessels of the type: offshore racing (IMOCA for example), yachts, autonomous vessels, fast ground effect vessels, offshore vessels.
