Tough Sounds

Independent Metal Label Tough Records was founded by Hossein Amjad and is the first of its kind in the Iranian metal scene. Hossein started out as a musician and often helped his musician friends to gain international recognition, driven by his passion for music and his dream of starting a record label. Tough Records is a continuation of exclusive PR and distribution services Hossein provided to local metal artists since 2018. The label started with the fact that local Iranian artists don’t get the spotlight they deserve because of different circumstances and the belief that with some help they have the potential to be elevated to professional and international levels. Through this spark as well as their shared interests, Hossein met Emin Aghajanian who in 2021 became the co-owner of the record label. The core concept of Tough Records is all about taking artists in from tough metal scenes, developing them, and getting them the spotlight and the international fan bases that they deserve. They rebranded the label in 2021 with the name Tough Sounds to expand their services and launched their modern design website for selling merchandise and music to fans worldwide.
