About Trail Holistics
Mark Wood, Principal Consultant at Trail Holistics, has gathered a team of talented and creative professionals to launch Trail Holistics in 2017. Avid outdoor enthusiasts with a wealth of experience in community & recreation planning, we collectively hold decades of professional management experience that translates into relevant and highly effective strategies. Our cumulative experience includes; designing, administering and analyzing field data surveys, Recreation Management, Master Planning, Public Consultation, First Nations Consultation, Risk Management, Trail Design & Construction, Impact Assessment & Mitigation, Site Restoration, Project Management, Education & Training and Geo-science analysis specializing in terrain assessment including slope stability, erosion potential and hydrologic assessment. Trail Holistics actively works throughout British Columbia to assess, improve, design and plan trails with a focus on sustainability. Working with municipal, regional and provincial government, ski resorts and trail associations, our overarching goal is to create sustainable, long term strategies that balance the social, economic and environmental aspects within communities, as represented by the three leaves of our logo. We work with stakeholders and government to create long term planning strategies that expand and diversify socioeconomic opportunity while mitigating impact and minimizing risk.
