The Atlantic Area offers a huge range of spaces along the Atlantic coast. The TrailGazers Bid Project wants to explore how #trails & associated assets can stimulate #ruraldevelopment. The Trail Gazers project will determine the impact of significant investment which has been made over the years into developing walking and recreational trails across the Atlantic Area. It will help to sustain rural communities and will explore innovative ways that this impact can be enhanced. It will strive to showcase the regions' rich natural and cultural heritage and allow visitors to safely navigate and enjoy the regions' most precious assets. TrailGazersBID is funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme through the European Regional Development Fund These are the project partners: Donegal County Council, Navarra de Suelo y Vivienda, S.A.U., Ville de Louvigné du Désert, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, Glasgow Caledonian University, Ulster University, Universidade do Algarve, Sligo County Council, Dirección General de Lucha contra el Cambio Climático y Medio Ambiente – Gobierno de Canarias, Municipio de Viana do Castelo.
