Trans Atlantic Mortgages Limited is duly licensed to carry on mortgage banking business and has operated for over a decade, having commenced business in 1993, under the original name of BAICO Building Society Limited. The original promoters of the company withdrew their investment and the company became dormant for several years until 2006, when a new core investor group, comprising individual investors, recapitalized and rebranded the mortgage bank. It is the vision of the sponsors of Trans Atlantic to position the company to play a pivotal role in the economic and commercial development of the Mortgage Banking Industry in Nigeria.
