TRANScend is a project aiming to increase inclusivity in the mental health sector, specifically access for transgender individuals.
We aim to undertake awareness and action initiatives surrounding trans-inclusivity in the sphere of mental healthcare in India by working collaboratively with the trans community. We achieve this through a number of innovative avenues that span across education, awareness, advocacy, and action:
- The TRANScend database of trans-affirmative and inclusive therapists.
- The TRANscend activity book, encouraging positive mental health practices, self-care and reflection for the transgender community.
- The TRANScend podcast series which aims to amplify trans voices, in which we have and will be interviewing different people situated within the movement for transgender rights and inclusivity.
