Transcriptome Sciences Inc. (TSI), a privately held Alberta research company incorporated in 2008, is the commercial spin-off of the Alberta Transplant Applied Genomics Centre (ATAGC) at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. Transcriptome (TSI) is dedicated to developing a new understanding of disease mechanisms through the molecular analysis of transplanted organ biopsies, and to the commercialization of these discoveries. The result is an extensive and growing proprietary database consisting of clinical, histological, and gene expression findings from these biopsies, supplemented with patient outcomes. Transcriptome’s (TSI) database forms the basis of the Molecular Microscope® Diagnostic (MMDx®) system, a novel central diagnostic process for the assessment of organ disease states with unparalleled accuracy.
