Transforma is known for an interactive theatre show called The Female Role Model Project which uses EEG headsets live on stage to investigate contemporary gender structures from the perspective of four completely different female identifying devisers sharing their autobiographical stories through a series of interactive games.
It’s trying to catch a glimpse of what the underlying neurobiology of experiencing different female role models is. It was produced Off-Broadway in New York and at Edinburgh Fringe as well as at Biennial of Art and Technology at Ammerman Symposium. We received an Honorable mention in the Creativity category of Fast Company's World Changing Ideas Awards and a nomination for the outstanding innovative design at New York Innovative Theatre Awards.
COMING UP: Our next project is dedicated to men. Our goal is to create a theatre piece focusing on perceptions of masculinity and shifting paradigms of what being a man means in 2020 and beyond.
