TRANSFORMERS is a community-based organisation aiming at improving living conditions in Mathare Nairobi City, Kenya. Mathare is a slum with a population of approximately 600,000 people. 💡 Officially recognized as of 2018, TRANSFORMERS' goal is to improve the life of people in Mathare. 🚀 We started with a number of community participation activities, including environmental clean-ups, feeding programs, and sanitation campaigns. 👩🏿🔧 Today, we focus on vocational and technical training to help Mathare's citizens joining the labour market and gain financial independence.
