Transitional investments (TI) is an investment business focused on buying businesses where the Founder remains key to the business and cannot exit and move on with their life. We buy businesses, free the founder and build a team to take the business forward. Whilst the issue of management succession is difficult and risky, it is a solvable problem Our focus is on businesses with sustainable profit between £500,000 and £10 Million. In the UK, Venture Capital funds and many trade buyers for businesses are extremely focussed on businesses with complete management teams which are looking to stay with the business. This can create real difficulty for Owner Managers who are still key to their businesses but want to move on to do something else with their lives. Whilst the issue of management succession is difficult and risky, it is a solvable problem. At TI we have extensive experience in solving these issues and often find that the problem is far easier to solve post a transaction exiting the owner than before.
