As a Navy veteran myself, I had to navigate the process of transitioning off of active duty, into the "civilian world." I found going through that process that for the first time in my military career, there was no SOP, field manual, or instruction to follow. Like so many others, I just had to figure it out.
While TAPS/Transition GPS is good for some, it seemed more like a CYA by the DOD to make sure veterans had some sort of work force training before they separated or retired.
Having gone through the transition myself, I've learned quite a bit, and wanted to provide as much information back to the veteran community as I could - to potentially serve as that SOP or instruction to reference when getting it out.
For now, we're new - so, we're focusing on the basics: resume, interviews, optimizing your LinkedIn page, etc.
