Transportation Engineering Group, IIT Patna

Welcome to the Transportation Engineering Group at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna. With a vision to equip aspiring transportation professionals to tackle contemporary challenges, the TE group integrates emerging technologies into its curriculum and research endeavours. The faculty, with diverse expertise, offers courses and conducts research in three core areas: Traffic Engineering, Pavement Engineering, and Railway Engineering. Beyond academics, faculty members actively engage in consultancy services and continuing education programs. The division is equipped with specialized laboratories for Traffic Engineering, Pavement Material Characterization, and Railway Engineering, featuring advanced instruments to support students and researchers. Additionally, these laboratories house cutting-edge software for sophisticated analysis, modeling, and design of transportation systems. Efforts are continually made to acquire advanced equipment and software, further enhancing the research infrastructure to maintain state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.
