Transporter Therapeutics (acquired by Ovid Therapeutics 2022)

Acquired by Ovid Therapeutics in January of 2022, Transporter Therapeutics was founded by a team of transformative leaders in central nervous system (CNS) disease biology, drug resistance, clinical drug development and translational medicine. We focus on creating new chemical entities (NCE) that address under-served CNS disease, drive durable clinical responses and diminish suffering for patients across the globe. To achieve this, we leverage discoveries in solute carriers and inhibitory ligand gated ion channel protein biology that contribute to or drive the development and persistence of disease. To make these discoveries, Transporter Therapeutics harnesses novel drug discovery platforms and drug delivery systems to improve treatment outcomes.
