TransTech Energy

~TransTech Energy (TTE) refers to transitional technologies and strategies that reduce carbon emissions, increase energy efficiency and diversify energy supply, create opportunities for advanced manufacturing, improve industrial competitiveness, and generally lead to an efficient, competitive, sustainable economy of the future. ~TTE technologies include, for example, recovery and use of waste energy, hybrid fossil/renewable systems, productive uses of CO2, new chemical pathways for converting shale gas to low-cost chemical feedstocks, software tools for energy efficient homes/industries/buildings, renewable energy technologies, lightweight/corrosion resistant materials, energy storage/grid stability technologies, and energy efficient advanced manufacturing technologies such as robotics, 3-D printing, and nanotechnology. ~The overall goal of the TTE Program is to help achieve a vibrant regional entrepreneurial ecosystem with WVU as a strong partner and contributor to that ecosystem.
