Transylvanian Mechanical Engineering Cluster was founded in 2015 and at the moment has 34 members consisting of 18 romanian manufacturing companies, 4 non-governmental organizations, 4 public institutions, 2 R&D center, 3 professional schools and 3 chambers of commerce & industry.
TME Cluster main aim in 2016 is to promote among SME’s the concept, purpose and advantages of joining a cluster in this region.
Mechanical processing industry plays a significant role in shaping the centre region's industrial profile consisting of Covasna, Harghita, Mures and Brasov counties. This industry has the potential to create links with other sectors such as automotive, agriculture, food, aviation, pharmaceutical, woodworking and more. The objectives of the Transylvanian Mechanical Engineering Cluster are multiple, for example participation and / or initiation of innovative projects, supporting ”innovators”; common participation in national and international forums etc.
