Trauma Research UK

Trauma Research UK is a national registered charity based in the UK. We are dedicated to giving hope to those who have never had hope, and to restoring hope to those who have had it taken away. Our work is divided into two objectives: 1. Offering support and recovery programmes to those suffering from trauma and anxiety-related disorders such as phobias, panic attacks, PTSD, OCD, GAD, etc. We aim to challenge the foundation of each individual’s core beliefs and negative behavioural patterns by providing them with the resources and techniques needed to help them overcome often perceived incurable mental health diagnoses as aforestated. 2. Identifying new therapies with a successful track record, to then fund further research – helping enable promising new treatments available to all. Knowing that different therapies work for some and not others, we want to ensure that those suffering have the very best chance of recovery. At Trauma Research UK, we believe if there are more recognised therapies available, there will be more options available for sufferers to obtain the help they need. The knowledge that there are multiple avenues available to them also assists in providing people the hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
