TraumaLink is a volunteer-based emergency response system created in 2013 to reduce the number of deaths and injuries on the highways. Our service model utilizes an emergency hotline number, a 24/7 call center, and volunteer first responders recruited from the local community who are trained in basic trauma first aid and provided with necessary medical equipment like stretchers and bandages.
We are currently operating on a total of 100 km; 50 km on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Daudkandi and Chandina, 40 km on the Dhaka – Aricha Highway in Manikganj, and 10 km in Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway, working with 450 volunteers who have already responded to over 700 emergency calls and treated over 1000 injured patients.
