Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Travis A. Ekmark has worked as a paper pusher, salesman, sandwich-maker, barista, wholesaler, journalist, illustrator, object designer, curator, graphic designer, copywriter, strategist, consultant, and small business owner. In 2012, Ekmark co-founded the design agency Family Brothers (referred to by Bon Appetit as “the designers behind all the coolest restaurant stuff”). Among Family Brothers' first projects was the brand identity for Fohr, a fledgling New York City-based start-up that ended up being the world's first influencer marketing platform. After 8 years with Family Brothers, a pandemic freelance jag that found him designing, product-naming, and copywriting the packaging for suncare supernova Vacation®, Ekmark joined Fohr as Creative Director in 2021.
