TRCOLD-Turkish Committee on Large Dams

TRCOLD (Turkish National Committee on Large Dams) is the national member of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) – Commission Internationale des Grands Barrages (CIGB). Türkiye became a member of ICOLD in 1950 during the 17th Executive Meeting held in London. TRCOLD aims to achieve its goals through cooperation with ICOLD, its National Committees, and other organizations and institutions with similar interests. It actively participates in special sessions, international conferences, technical seminars, study tours, and working groups. In Türkiye, TRCOLD organizes scientific meetings and project site visits, establishes research committees, and publishes technical articles on subjects related to dams and reservoirs.
