TRDMRK Golf was inspired by family and the love of golf.
When I was born, my grandfather gave me the nickname "Trademark" because my first name starts with T and my middle name starts with M. I always appreciated the nickname, maybe even more so because my grandfather was the only person to call me that. It was special, sort of our own thing, and up until the day he passed away in 2013 he called me Trademark. He was a hard-working man, supporting six children (my father included) and a wife as a truck driver in Southwestern Pennsylvania. It was "humble beginnings" in every sense of the phrase. They didn't have much but what they did have was a love for family and this is something that's stuck with me throughout my life.
Fast forward to April 2024, my youngest brother turned 25 years old. I asked him what his life advice was so far after living a quarter of a century. I didn't expect much of an answer, maybe a funny comment or remark in reply, yet he answered with, "If you don't take the first step, you'll never start the journey." Wow.. I got goosebumps. How true of a statement is that? Applicable in many aspects of life, I had a newfound motivation courtesy of my brother. It was sort of a calling, if you will. I have had ideas of creating something meaningful before, yet I never took the first step to begin the journey.
That's when I took the leap of faith and started creating a golf brand/clothing company in May of 2024. The sport of golf is something I am truly passionate about. It's much more than a game to me. It's a community. It's a shared experience. It creates lifelong memories and friendships. Remembering my grandfather and the nickname he gave me + the wisdom my brother shared, I started playing around with "Trademark", eventually removing the vowels and creating the name TRDMRK. Pairing family inspiration with the love of golf, a new brand emerged.
