Trefa is a family business of aeration machines with worldwide sales. From the beginning of the 60s of the last century Trefa develops and produces high-tech aeration machines and mixers for various applications worldwide. In 1996 the company was taken over by the current owner by a management by-out.
Trefa's specialty is the development and production of continuous aeration machines and mixers according to the customer's specifications. And to guarantee the high quality, all parts of the machines are made in-house. See also the video on our website here. Besides aeration machines and mixers Trefa also supplies complete production lines for aerated mayonnaise, aerated peanut butter, marshmallow, chocolate cake, swissroll ect.
Aeration machines are machines to mix a liquid with a gas into a foam. These machines are used to increase the volume or to increase the product structure. They offer advantages in the form of uniform product quality and total control in terms of product quality such as density and structure. Applications are for example in the food industry: dairy cream, marshmallow, meringue, cake batters but also in the non-food industry for example for mattresses and pillows. For these applications Trefa also develops and produces pre-mixers, in-line blenders and manifolds.
A substantial part of the turnover is used for research and development. This results in the development of a mixing head with a unique property, the "premixing chamber".

Trefa is able to produce aerators in different capacities and with different controls, depending on the product to be aired. These models range from the TL-50, for laboratory and small production purposes, to the Trefa T-3000 (up to 10,000 kg/hour) for industrial use.
