Recognizing visual art as an essential expression of our times, Trellis Art Fund is committed to supporting the creative work of individual artists nationwide. We seek to impact artists holistically by offering unrestricted financial resources, professional support and community. Guided by our core values of respect, fairness, commitment, community, and diversity, our aim is to encourage artists to keep going and sustain their practices long-term.
Trellis Art Fund awards two grants each year: the Milestone Grant, a $100,000 award given to 12 artists, and the Stepping Stone Grant, a $20,000 award given to 20 artists. For both grants, Trellis employs a nomination process asking curators, non-profit leaders, and artists to put forth deserving candidates for the award. Trellis Art Fund was founded in 2023 in New York City.
