The team is led by Georgia Angell, a 40+ year veteran of the moving and transportation industry. Georgia has held several leadership roles within some of the industry's top household goods moving, freight, and forwarding companies. Over the years, she has gained experience in all aspects of operations, finances, and business planning, particularly within the DOD and GSA government personal property programs and international commercial moving, storage, and shipping agencies.
From 2003 to 2007, Georgia served as Chairperson of the International Association of Movers (IAM) Executive Committee, becoming the first woman in the organization’s history to hold this role. She was inducted into the IAM Hall of Honor in 2020. During her tenure, she chaired several key committees, including Accessorial Services, Claims, and Technology & Communications, focusing on military DPS systems and IAM Data Collections. Currently, she serves on the Global Moving Foundation Board and chairs the IAM Leadership Alliance, promoting leadership training for the industry.
Georgia has been pivotal in developing IAM initiatives such as IAM Learning, the Technology Partnership, the Shipper’s Guide, and the Receivable Protection Plan. She has also led numerous "Networking Like a Pro" Learning Labs.
